COVID-19 PLAN

Here is our plan. If you do have any questions, please email us at firstruntheatre@gmail.com.

  1. Introduction
FRT is committed to always taking precautions to keep our audience, actors, crew, and front of house staff safe. During the current pandemic, we intend to comply with all governmental requirements relating to performance spaces and to take additional steps to minimize risk. We rent spaces for rehearsals and performances. Therefore, we must coordinate our efforts with those of the owner.
  2. Training
All staff and volunteers will be required to have viewed the Missouri ArtSafe video training.
  3. Cleaning of space
At each stage of the production, protocols will be agreed with the owner of the space to provide for regular cleaning of the space, especially high contact areas, after each use and to ensure there is adequate provision of hand sanitizer.
  4. Auditions & Rehearsals
    a) Auditions and rehearsals will be organized to minimize numbers of people in the location
    b) Whenever practical, social distancing and mask wearing will be required
  5. Front of house
    a) All house staff and volunteers must be masked
    b) Audience members will be encouraged to use cashless payment systems
    c) A designated individual will greet all audience members and carry out a temperature check and health questionnaire. They will also request a contact email or cell phone number for each party for the purpose of contact tracing if needed.
  6. Health checks for staff and volunteers
    a) Before each rehearsal and performance, all actors and crew will have a temperature check and answer a few health questions. Any individual with a temperature of 100.3F or higher or reporting symptoms will be sent home. If this is before a performance and there is no understudy the performance will be canceled.
    b) Before each performance, all front of house staff will have a temperature check and answer a few health questions. Any individual with a temperature of 100.3F or higher or reporting symptoms will be sent home.
  7. Audience requirements
    a) All audience members will be required to provide some basic health information. Anyone with a temperature of 100.3F or higher or reporting symptoms will not be allowed access.
    b) Seating in waiting areas and inside the theater will be restricted to allow for social distancing
    c) All audience members over the age of two will be required to wear a mask.
    d) Food and drink may not be taken into the performance space.
    e) Additional time will be added to intermission to allow restroom usage with distancing practices in place.
  8. Contact tracing
In the event of a confirmed case of infection from any staff, volunteer or audience member, FRT will use the contact information collected to inform those who may have been in contact with the affected individual.
